In loving memory of my Dad
My Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2009. It was spread throughout his brain. The surgeon likened it to dropping some red paint into a can of white, and swirling it around. Dad had surgery shortly after, followed by some aggressive treatments of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
By April 2010, he had it beaten fair and square. The tumour had started to shrink, his speech was getting better and he was able to drive again (one of his true passions).
In May 2010, his speech and mobility started to decline a little, and a second tumour was found - this time on his brain stem. With very few treatment options open to him, Dad fought the good fight, but passed away at 2:45am on July 27th 2010, whilst in palliative care.
He was only 57 years old and, by nature a vital, outgoing man who enjoyed life to the utmost. He never smoked, rarely drank, and had no cancer risks in his life (other than, perhaps, cellular telephones).
This short presentation is in memory of him. Dad chose the music himself for his wedding to Marie, who most surely was the love of his life.
Rest in peace Dad.
Love Dan.
